Europe’s largest waterfall
The astonishing Rhine Falls instantly mesmerizes those fortunate enough to visit it. The marvelous cascade measures roughly 490 ft (150 m) in overall width. The waterfall itself also boasts a moderate drop measuring a total of about 75 ft (23 m). This marvelous flow itself additionally sits at an elevation that measures roughly 1,194 ft (364 m). In its specific case, though, this particular characteristic typically measures greater in the summer than other times of the year.

Icy air sweeps over your face, snow crunches underfoot, and the panorama almost takes your breath away: on one side the view of the Swiss Plateau as far as France, on the other the Aletsch Glacier, lined with four thousand metre peaks. Standing on the Jungfraujoch 3,454 metres above sea level, you can feel it with your first step: this is a different world. It’s one you have to experience.

Here in the dim turquoise-blue light of the glacier cave, where the 5,000-year-old ice causes the air you breathe to form clouds of mist, the powerful heart of the glacier is beating. On the 150-metre-long path 10 metres below the surface, you can sense it under your feet and feel it with your hands. This experience will touch you in a profound way.
